From the bush deep into the bustling Brisbane nightlife, Lurke is no stranger to setting the atmosphere.

With a deep appreciation for both smooth and rhythmic commercial vibes, as well as deep and dark underground beats, his unique combinations and style are sure to elevate the mood on any dance floor. Beginning his journey at Yourshot 2018, this fiery upstart has since proven himself worthy, making support appearances across Brisbane for a number of both local and national heavyweights alike, including Odd Mob, Presto and eljae. Lurke’s passion and drive has further cemented him into the industry, taking out the top spot in the 2019 Our House DJ Competition and securing himself a residency at Prohibition Nightclub.

With no plans of slowing down, Lurke’s love for heavy basslines paired with electronic pop pulses are what makes his mixing so hypnotic, and just like a fine wine, this young man only gets better with age. Check out his top 5 tracks right now!

1. Malaa - OCB

“A pure thumper from the G-House GOAT. Malaa never fails to bring the underground vibe and this track is no exception; with a thick bassline and groovy percussive elements, this song is a banger from start to finish.”

2. Disclosure & Eko Roosevelt – Tondo

“A new one off Disclosure's latest EP, Ecstasy - this fun & funky track makes for a perfect sunset banger. A song I've been really digging lately and I think you'll enjoy it too! “

3. Dillon Francis, BabyJake - You Do You

“At a cool 120bpm, Dillon Francis' latest has got a bounce that just won't quit. Bright vocal chops pair perfectly with thumping 808s to bring a fresh feel to the house music scene. “

4. Midnight City - Just Like That ft. Raphaella (Low Steppa Remix)

“A track I only stumbled across recently, Low Steppa's 2016 remix of Just Like That is one track that I cannot wait to bring back to the clubs. While still paying respects to the original, this track gets flipped on its head and brings some real UK Bass heat.“

5. Getter - Represent

“My final top track right now is from one of my bigger inspirations in the scene, Getter. This song is straightup filth and is one that needs to be heard to be believed. This one's for the bassmonkeys.”
