Odd Mob has easily been one of the fastest rising artists in Australia right now with his incredible tracks “All of Your Heart” and “Bad Moon”, a debut album on the cards and one US tour under his belt! We managed to ask him a few questions on what he has coming up and find out what is coming up next!

You've just release Bad Moon (feat. Kameron Alexander) to the world, what you have coming up next?

“So I have a new single off the album coming out in April as well as a few clubby goodies :)”

You broke into the USA last year with an incredible debut tour, what were some of the highlights and is there anything you've learned from playing in the states compared to Australia?

“One of the biggest highlights was the first show in LA at Space Yacht - the vibe was surreal and it was so crazy to look around the venue and go "oh I know that person! and that person!" so many big names just there for a good time. I've learned that the 'celebrity' type culture in America is a LOT bigger than it is in Australia haha.”

Since "Testing Grounds" you have had some amazingly stunning artwork for your releases, tell me the story about how that began and have you got some special planned for the upcoming album?

“So basically in 2018, my grandpa had an art exhibition to showcase all of his works over the years (most of which he makes at 3 or 4 in the morning). Unfortunately, not many of them sold but I thought they were too good to go unused. I converted them all to digital and added a bit of my own flair & we ended up with a massive set of cohesive artworks all ready to go. We have a few new visual concepts that we want to experiment with the album as well”

When can we expect the album to drop?

“Originally it was scheduled for June, but due to COVID-19 it looks like we will be pushing it back so that we can pair it with a cool album tour :)”

Your sound has grown so much over the last 7 years. Who are your biggest musical influences?

“I love Flume, Kaytranada and anything low-fi house haha”

Have you picked up any hobbies or interests you've started since social distancing began? and is there something random you miss?

“I definitely miss beers with friends haha. I have started dabbling in live streaming a lot more now!”

What inspires you outside of music when the creative well runs low?

“Motivational videos help. Usually, I only work on creative ideas when I'm in the mood. Otherwise, my stuff ends up sounding stale and forced.”

Moment in Time: We do a little dig through your socials in the hunt for a photograph that deserves more context. (Right)

“My fiancee's birthday party in New Farm Park. 80s athletics vibes with many many drinking challenges. Safe to say me and my friend Matt nailed the aesthetic.”
