A lover of tech house, Rosie Kate is a familiar face around Queensland's club circuit playing regular sets at Prohibition Brisbane, Old Soul, McGuires & elsewhere. She’s coming out of iso with a cheekier and chunkier sound with releases for Medium Rare, ASTRX and Watermelon Boy dropping soon!

She has supported international heavyweights Will Clarke, Franky Rizardo, Croatia Squad, Riva Starr, Bruno Furlan, Sirus Hood, Sacha Robotti + more and has released tracks and remix packages on Hot Sunday and Disco Fiasco Records.

When she’s not rinsing tech house in a sweaty club or on the road in a festival tent, Rosie Kate is spinning for global leaders in beauty and fashion including Bulgari, Paspaley, Sephora, Pandora & Swarovski. No stranger to setting a mood, you can also find her at her local residencies W Hotel & Stokebar Q.

Rosie has just released a new mixtape for Hump Radio! There are also episodes from many of your other Brisbane favourites including Apollo, Aydos, Della, Ra and Mandy Onassis just to name a few.

Hump Radio Episode - Rosie Kate

“The mix focuses really heavily on an experience of the imagination. I've featured a lot of tracks that are light a vocal melody and you can make the narrative in your head as you listen along. The mix starts off bright, takes a few twists and turns and then finishes with a few dark techno belters.”

1. You Know - Luke Mandala

Big fan of the label Desert Hearts and within a few seconds of listening to this track, I knew it was a total earworm and I'd be rinsing it on repeat. That bassline! Luke Mandala is a serious synthesis wizard. Well worth looking into his back catalogue if you dig this one.

2. Situation (Paluma Remix) - Latour

Worlds collide with this absolute cracker of a minimal tech remix for Latour by Paluma (the brand new project for coastie legend Tim Fuchs!) I'm a frother for the minimal tech sound and it's great to see Latour and Paluma come together on this one.

3. VX - Boy With Boat

Brissie's Boy With Boat is one of the hardest working producers I know, he's always got something sick in the works and it's great to see the release of his EP on Recovery Collective. We're all in for a treat when he releases the rest of his soundscape synthy production goodness he's got stashed away!

4. Shake That - Steve Darko

I love Steve Darko & I love Box of Cats so I was super stoked when this popped up in my promos and damn what a tasty and chunky tune. If you've read this far down my list, at this point you're realising I just froth a low rumbling synth and this is no exception! Paired with a stripped back perc groove, this is a heater.

5. 3D (Vincent Casanova Remix) - Dai-Dai

This breaks-y number layered with squelchy sounds is divine and primed for headphone listening. I love spaced out drums that leave room for all the sound design to shine through and capture your imagination!
